Red Riding Hood… in the company of Wolves
Being an avid fan of the tales from the Brother Grimm and following my Maleficent shoot with Kestrel last summer, I finally got round to shooting my favourite of the Grimm tales – Red Riding Hood!
We spotted the location on one of our road trips, we both remarked at the time how ideal it would look for a Grimm themed shoot. Uncertain of if we could actually get away with shooting here, we packed up the red riding hood costume and returned.
After some initial hesitation we managed to get through some barbed wired fencing and snuck into the depths of the trees. The forest offered a luxurious array of greens and golds highlighted beautifully by the rays of sunshine breaking through the trees.
I slipped on the green medieval dress and red cloak, both by the dark angel clothing, and then the final touch, the beautiful hat with feathers and mesh.
The photographer is relatively new to photography but is fast producing some gorgeous portrait shots. All shots were taken on a nikon 5200, a 50mm lens, ISO 640 F/1.8 1/800 shutter speed and around 4pm in May.
